A pupil at Bedlington Grammar School from 1954 to 1962, my working life has been in the airline and travel business. On leaving school in 1962, I worked in the Moscardini family travel business in Bedlington Station before joining Sabena Belgian Airlines in 1965 in their Manchester reservations office. In 1966, I moved to BOAC (later British Airways) in London and was promoted to sales posts in Leeds and Newcastle. I was appointed British Airways Sales Manager in Tehran, Iran in 1978.
After a successful career in British Airways, I worked as Sales Manager Scotland for British Caledonian Airways and later provided consultancy services to United Airlines and the Scotway Travel Group. On leaving the airline industry, I taught presentation skills to corporate and individual clients in the UK and Europe.
Having retired from the corporate world, I now combine my love of drawing and painting with photography and computer technology and maintain a number of websites devoted to cinema and airline history.
